deWintons

An inventive & vibrant young catering company with a passion for food, deWintons has an eye for detail & a sense of occasion.

We cater for Canapé Parties, Directors’ Lunches, Private Dinners, Weddings & Picnics. Throw an event at us and we’ll relish the challenge to come up with something new & exciting.

Continually re-inventing presentation ideas, experimenting with different flavour combinations to create brand new and exciting dishes. We like to source food from around the world bringing a host of taste sensations to your palate.

2-Who are we?

Founder; Jacqueline Thomas set up the business launching her self onto the exciting world of outside catering, in 1996. Jacqueline known as Jacqs, has a wealth of experience in the field of catering , ranging from private dinner parties in Barbados, for clients such as Joan Collins & Michael Winner to being teaching at Leith’s School of Food & Wine, to chefing at Moismanns fine dinning restaurant in Belgravia. Jacqs set up the business with a passionate desire to do better than anyone else, using the freshest of ingredients in the simplest of ways, creating food sensations with not only the look & taste being of the up most but not forgetting the fabulous texture you create by using different food types.

deWintons pride themselves on the little details, from the colours of the ribbon to tie the napkins with, to the quantity of ice to cool the wine with staff ready to welcome the guests with a happy smile, a perfectly chilled glass of champagne & most importantly sumptuous food sensations!


3-How we work?

Jacqs & James are your first point of contact, they will then take you through from your initial enquiry to the end of your party, with the finest of details discussed & remembered. . With deWintons eye for detail and sense of occasion we have come up with a tried & tested list of questions to ask from the simplest: from where, when & why? These all enable us to give you the most accurate quotation. We ensure all our staff are happy, articulate and elegantly dressed in black & white with the girls in sexy black halter neck tops, or light grey shirts, with the boys in crisp black shirts both with long white starched aprons – in keeping the clean smart image of deWintons.

4 -Our presentation.

We use a selection of our very chic black slate to show the food off to its bests, blended in with the use of coloured glass, silver and china plates as well as our beautiful black lacquer baskets and burnt orange trays to serve the canapés from. We decorate the food with contrasting colours and textures, such as seasonal flowers, bright red chillies, cut limes, garlic and ginger. We can theme our presentation depending on your requirements, and would be happy to discuss this with you.
